Hockey Director
From Our Hockey Director Brent Dolan:
We have created an identity for the Northern Express Hockey Association that emphasizes player development. The Express' focus on the players is vital to the success of this club moving forward. Securing passionate, knowledgeable coaches is crucial to the development and retention of players at every level. Several of our current coaching staff are Express Alumni who wish to give back and be a part of the club's future.
With the development of the Junior Express program and our affiliation with the Park Ridge Park District, there is a true feeder system that this club has greatly needed. With over 300 participants annually in the Oakton Learn to Play Hockey program, we have a solid foundation to build upon year after year. In addition, cross representation amongst programs with our coaching staff benefits the LTPH programs, Junior Express mites, and the Express travel program at all levels.
I believe we need to develop and promote our elite players to local AAA clubs. Our goal is to prepare and develop players to play at the highest level. If we are graduating players on to the AAA level, we as a club are doing our job. I have seen several players in the past few seasons transition into Tier I hockey which the Express take great pride in.
I look forward to working with all the Express families to make the club a successful organization for many years to come.
